Sonya M. Buchanan practices in areas of law spanning a variety of matters.
Before entering practice, Sonya completed a judicial clerkship with a Senior Circuit Judge in the Tenth Judicial Circuit, State of Alabama. She completed a judicial internship with a United States District Judge in the Northern District of Alabama, while a law student, in addition to having worked in civil litigation, and prosecutorial offices enforcing federal, and state laws. Sonya matriculated and earned a Juris Doctor in two and half years as a multi-year scholarship recipient, and served as an Honor Court Justice, Cumberland School of Law, 2010-2012.
A published author (Saved by Grace, Xulon Press, 2009), Sonya has worked for multinational, Fortune 500 companies in public relations/marketing communications roles. She is a member of the American Bar Association, and the Birmingham Bar Association.
Sonya is grateful to have made deposits to numerous causes through in-kind and/or financial contributions for a number of years. Causes pertaining to the arts, our youth, women, health, and education are of particular resonance.
